Location Information:
Drive on Highway 5 (Coquihalla Highway) to the Juliet Creek exit (#238). On the west side of the highway, turn right and follow the road until it transitions to gravel. Reset your odometer here.
Continue on the forest service road to the 3.8 km mark, where it forks immediately after a bridge and cattle guard. Take the left fork. There are a few waterbars across the road, but a vehicle with good clearance shouldn’t have a problem. The road forks again at the 7.3 km mark – take the left fork again. Continue until the road ends at a “Forest Service Trail” sign just below 1500 meters in elevation. Park here.
- KHC did this hike in 2016 and 2017.
- Some of the waterbars near the end of the road are deep and rough, best suited to a high-clearance 4WD. SUVs will want to park somewhere along the decommissioned road.
- Forest fires will have affected access to the usual July Mountain Trail
