Description

A hike to the summit of a Coquihalla Peak

  • since the road in to the trailhead is rough, requiring high clearance/4WD, we are limited to a small group
  • if we end up with a second truck, we can expand the group size, but either way, this will be a small group hike
  • the trail is moderate to Drum Lake, then is a scramble to the top of the mountain
  • we hope to do a loop on the top ridge and some of this will be exploratory
  • article on July Mountain
  • to join this hike, contact the hike leader

With all of the hikes in the Summit Series (and some in the lead-up series of hikes), the hikes may take all day with no predictable return time.

The drives may be longer so riders need to help pay for the costs of the group hike. High-clearance vehicles with good tires are needed and some of the access routes are harder on vehicles.

Many of the hikes are more difficult and we will be in the backcountry for the day so we need hikers that are self-sufficient, adequately fit, and well-prepared. These are small group hikes and a team effort makes them successful.

Contact the hike leader if you are uncertain about the listed event.
