Description
A slideshow presentation of the wildflowers found in the Kamloops area, ordered by the seasons
- doors open at 6pm. Show starts promptly at 6:30 at the Sports Council Office (Cunliffe House), 262 Lorne Street
- since seating is limited, arrive early for the best seats
- a 1.5 hour talk and discussion
- all photos taken by the presenter
- all of the flowers were encountered and photographed in our area on hikes, many with KHC
- information on each flower will be provided, including location and month
- we will use the common name (rather than the Latin name) wherever possible
- this presentation is the same one as presented to the Kamloops Adult Learners Society last year
- questions and answers throughout
- this event must have 6 persons (by March 27) to make it a go and the room seats about 22 total
Prior to the presentation there will be baked items/beverage table available for purchase as a fundraising initiative to the Canadian Wildlife Federation. All proceeds will go to the CWF Hike for Wildlife event being held in April (date TBD).
