Description
Come exploring the Tranquille River area: tree carvings, yellow hills, marshes, beavers, geological formations, Tranquille Dam, clay bluffs, and maybe some cool rocks. A four to five (total) km easy hike, (there and back) stopping for lunch along the way. Hike is subject to weather, so please check back here a day before the hike, to confirm it’s a go.
Meet at the Brocklehurst Dog Park (Ord Rd) Parking Area, and car-pool to Tranquille Parking Area.
My hiking style is a relaxed one – to best take in all the beauty around us.Hunting new wildflowers and fungi will often cause me to be looking everywhere except the trail.
I like to think up unusual/themed hikes (nature is fun), including Art Hikes, Historical Hikes, Wacky Race Events, Santa Stocking Hunts, Halloween Hikes, Photography Hikes, Astronomy/Full Moon Night Hikes, Fossil Hikes, etc.I also seek out interesting things to see and share in nature – gorgeous waterfalls and views, crazy geological formations, scenic forests, and other very special places.
I’m always open to hearing new hike ideas from other hikers.
