Description
A shorter hike to the caves on Labour Day
- carpool and drive to Savona – Tunkwa Lake Road – Savona Mountain road
- the bottom part is easy but the upper part is steep on loose material with some light scrambling (Class 2)
- some drop-offs near the top
- a tea break at the top to enjoy the view and explore the caves
- return by the same route (harder going down)
- wearing good shoes/boots and using poles help on the downhill
