Description

A snowshoe outing from the Bush Lake parking area.  The route will be chosen later, but Bush Lake South or the Dogwood Marshes are probable locations.

  • Meet at the Hillside Drive meetup spot at 10:00 am
  • Carpool to the trailhead.
  • If it is a snowshoe bring your gear plus gaiters, poles, and winter wear.
  • If it is a winter hike, bring gaiters and traction devices.
  • Stomp for about 2 hours in the snow through the forest, mostly on double tracks, but some through the forest is also required to link sections.
  • Stop for lunch/tea along the route.   Bring something to sit on.
  • Article on the area – Bush Lake South
  • There are several articles on the Dogwood Marshes on www.kamloopstrails.net
  • Dress for the conditions.
  • Since conditions are changeable in winter, check the listing for updates.
  • I will be out almost every day in the winter so I will be scouting conditions and new areas for future snowshoe events.
