Description

UPDATE:  Registration for this hike will open at 9:00 am on Friday, May 22, 2020.  I had previously set it for Saturday, May 23, but it was pointed out to me that interested folks will likely be out hiking Saturday morning and would miss the opportunity to sign up.  Thus, Friday.

This hike is subject to weather.  Be sure to check back on the posting page for updates or changes, the day before the hike.  If weather is bad, I will try to reschedule, but can not guarantee that.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

We will follow the club SOCIAL DISTANCING POLICY some of which are:

  • Hikers will maintain at least 2 m distance from each other.
  • At all stops, social distancing will be required.
  • No shared goods nor other forms of sharing are allowed.
  • Any member who is not feeling well should not participate in KHC events for the safety of everyone.
  • Washing of hands, wearing gloves and masks, coughing or sneezing into the elbow, not touching the face, carrying sanitizer etc. are all encouraged by KHC.
  • KHC members are expected to abide by KHC’s social distancing policy. Non-compliance with safety requirements will not be accepted.

!!COVID19 Social Distancing will be observed by all participants.  My expectation is 2-pole lengths apart (approx 6′).  Your fellow-hikers are depending on you, as you depend on them, so please be mindful.

Mount Buse Trail:  Approximately 3.5km hike, short, a bit steep, with incredible views at the top.  We will meet at the Valleyview Arena parking lot, then drive caravan-style to the trailhead.  Lunch at the top, and then a bit of an explore. The trail head crosses private property but the Kamloops Hiking Club has permission to park and hike, so we should respect the area.  Much appreciation to Buse Creek Ranch.

Dress for the weather, could be windy, could be hot. Ticks are out.  (Tis the season!  ; )
