Description

An all day hike into the Marble Range, as part of the Summer Summit Series

  • the actual date will depend on the weather forecast but will be one of the days listed, finalized 5-6 days out, with registration to be enabled at that time
  • the final date and time will be posted at that time
  • carpool early, time tbd
  • drive 2 hours to Clinton, then the Jesmond Road (150 km each way); the last 20 km is on a good dirt road, then the final 2 km is on a high-clearance road
  • articleMt. Bowman
  • article – Mount Bowman
  • article – Marble Range Provincial Park
  • if the weather is warm, lots of water will be required
  • the final section is steep up and down (poles recommended)
  • lunch on top of the mountain
  • mosquitoes may be out, but so will the wildflowers
  • this is remote terrain so we will hike together; faster hikers need to wait for the group
  • conditions will likely be hot so we can do a water drop at the junction
  • dress for hot conditions and bring extra water
