Description
A hike through Mara Canyon and the ridge route to create a loop
- we will be hiking from the gravel pit trailhead at 10:00 (go past the golf course for 1 km and turn right on Ord Road)
- I will wait at the turn at 9:45 for those unsure of the final driving route

- hike up the ridge, then down the canyon this year with a bit of exploration along the way
- ticks will be out so take the usual precautions
- a rugged route with some loose footing; poles and good boots are recommend
- a scenic route and we will do some photography along the way
- no waiting lists, so watch for cancellations if it is full
- this is a popular hike that will fill fast so hopefully another volunteer hike leader will offer another opportunity for a group hike in Mara Canyon
