A hike over rough terrain into Mara Canyon and back in a loop, coming down the Ridge route.

• meet at the Ord Road meetup spot to organize vehicles
• a short drive to the trailhead (using the dirt road at the Ord Road level crossing)
• hike up the canyon which has some minor scrambling and some loose materials underfoot
• lunch at the high spot, on a ridge
• return down the ridge which has some steeper sections on loose material
• a scenic route
• ticks will be out; a possibility of rattlesnakes, though it’s early for them
• not a long route, but it can be a bit challenging
