Description
A hike into the Marble Range
- the tentative date is listed, but will have a Plan B if the weather is marginal since its a 2 hour drive; will reschedule, as required
- a 3.5 hour hike to one of the peaks in the range south of Mt. Bowman
- elevation gain – 725m (2380 feet)
- the upper part of the route is off-trail
- meet early (7:00) to carpool
- lunch on top of the mountain
- a scenic route
- the trail follows the Lime Ridge West (North) route before bearing off to the north
- expect some deadfall along the Foundation Creek route
- some steep sections; participants will be doing some bushwhacking, getting past deadfall, etc. so this hike is not suitable for everyone
- since the event is a bit early, we may encounter some snow near the top
- since this hike is too difficult for most people I will not be enabling self-registration; contact me by email after May 15 if you are interested in the hike
