Description

 

A hike into the Marble Range

  • the tentative date is listed, but will have a Plan B if the weather is marginal since its a 2 hour drive; will reschedule, as required
  • a 3.5 hour hike to one of the peaks in the range south of Mt. Bowman
  • elevation gain – 725m (2380 feet)
  • the upper part of the route is off-trail
  • meet early (7:00) to carpool
  • lunch on top of the mountain
  • a scenic route
  • the trail follows the Lime Ridge West (North) route before bearing off to the north
  • expect some deadfall along the Foundation Creek route
  • some steep sections; participants will be doing some bushwhacking, getting past deadfall, etc. so this hike is not suitable for everyone
  • since the event is a bit early, we may encounter some snow near the top
  • since this hike is too difficult for most people I will not be enabling self-registration; contact me by email after May 15 if you are interested in the hike
