Join us snowshoeing Larch Hills, we checked out the trails Nov. 30th, they are ready for exploring. We will snowshoe from the chalet, past the magical pond, through the marshes to the South Hub cabin for lunch. There was some open water through the marshes yesterday but very do-able. After lunch we will head uphill on Cec’s trail turning off onto the Interpetive trail looping around to the Moose trail returning to the chalet parking lot. Snowshoe rates have increased to $8 (have correct change) payable at the trailhead. (last year was $5, sign says $8, web site says $10?)
Leave from Valleyview arena at 9:00, about $10 for carpooling to be determined by driver, we will meet the group at the trailhead.
Dress for weather conditions, bring your lunch, camera, headlight, and snowshoeing essentials, we should be on the trail 4-5 hrs.
We may stop for coffee and something to eat at Barleys on the way home, this is totally optional and needs to be arranged while carpooling.
