Up-dated: I have changed the climb, terrain and the Risk/Difficulity Alert boxes to “harder” to reflect that we my encounter ice and slippery conditions as we will be hiking mostly off trail.

The snow has gone so let’s go hiking. The ridges east & west of Battle Bluff are free of snow.

Wednesday:  Fredrick Bluff towards Cooney Bay

Thursday:  Blue Bird trail to the eagle’s nest

Friday: Eagle’s nest to Tranquille road

Saturday: Fredrick Bluff to Tranquille Road. This is a one-way hike. The plan is to leave a car near Tranquille road so the drivers can return to their cars and we can all meet at the Battle Bluff parking lot for the drive back into town.

Each hike will be 8 to 10 km.

Dress for the weather.
