Description
“Cloudy with 30 percent chance of showers early in the morning. Clearing in the morning. Snow level 700 metres. Fog patches dissipating in the morning. High 11. UV index 3 or moderate.”
I changed the hike from 9:30 to 11:00 and the location from Timber Lake to Mt. Dufferin Ridge. I emailed all registrants too.
A loop route on tracks through the hills above Timber Lake
- A route off backroads
- meet to carpool or convoy at the pullout on the Lac le Jeune Road on the left just before the Inks Lakes area
- drive to the trailhead (high clearance gravel road)
- hike in the hills for 2 + hours with a stop for lunch along the way

- mostly forested terrain on the routes with no established trails, but we will stick to double and single tracks all the way
- No one else knows this area so stay with the leader
- Hunting season so stay with the group
