Description
This event will be a hike along the shores of Kamloops Lake. We will start from the Cooney Bay parking lot, cross Tranquille Creek and hike the beaches to near the one of the big train tunnels through Battle Mountain.
The pace will be steady, but somewhat casual. This will be an out and back walk on the rocky, bouldery beach, with a headland to navigate. The ground is not even and walking on the boulders, etc. can be slow. Need to be careful of ankle twists.
Beach combing or trash pickup can also be done as we make our way along the lakeshore.
Be prepared for wind and possibly showers.
