Description

This is one of my favourite early, and if fact all season, loops up in the Lac due Bois grasslands.   We will meet at the cattle guard at Batchelor at 1030 to car convoy to trailhead just a couple of km up the road.

The loop is a moderate trail some 10 km around (depending on how many side trips we make) with some off trail areas.   It will take 3-4 hours with a stop for lunch at some point.   There could be mountain bikers on the trail, and mountain sheep but they won’t probably be on bikes!

The loop is rolling terrain around the tower in the Lac du Bois grasslands with some lovely views over the valley and city.   It may still be a bit muddy so poles are an asset, there could also be tics out at this time of year.

You are welcome to bring a furry friend, but they will have to be leashed at all times.  This event will be enabled a week or so before the hike date.
