2023 is going to be an exciting year for club adventures!
- Most events continue to fill up & some hike leaders continue to add a few extra spots
- Lots of new members are out enjoying our events
- We have had a few days where 2 or 3 events were posted on the same day
- We are seeing more evening hikes & lots of variety (hard & easy hikes, local & out of town)
- We have events posted 5 out of 7 days and something on both Sat. & Sun.
- Regular events on Tues, Wed & the evening hikes are very popular
Thank you to all our leaders for all your volunteer work. We are always looking for new leaders and all the creative and adventurous ideas they bring.
A special thanks to Deanna, Gerry, Helen, Margo, Doug, Jennifer & Sharon for hosting & participating in the KHC Backpacking Seminar & Social with me at the Barnhartvale Hall.
We are currently asking for some Website Feedback so that we can make sure our website meets our needs (members, hike leaders & the board).Â
We have also put together a few News & Event Reports to keep you informed of club activities & hiking information (Trail Conditions, WildSafe BC Bear Safety When Recreating – FREE Course, etc.)
Tips for booking any event include checking the website frequently and watching for cancellations if you don’t get a spot. You can also comment on the event & new members are encouraged to check out our Successful Bookings and Guidelines & Expectations information.  Leaders will sometimes duplicate the event on a different day if enough interest is shown. Become a leader and add your own event 😊 Please remember to bring your 10 essentials along on our events.
Happy hiking and see you on the trail soon.
Katherine Roberts, KHC President
