We have tried several ways to encourage small group informal events.   We tried Meetups using comments.   We also tried announcements and both did not work.   We are now trying Rambles through the main KHC Event Management system.   The first event is now posted.

For members, these are small group, short notice, special circumstance events, not the right fit for the regular KHC registration system.   Each event will be different and the leader will specify some parameters for the event.

For Hike Leaders, choose these categories – Rambles and Requires Leader Registration   You can enable registration or not since the Requires Leader Registration designation will disable the registration form.   You can also disable the comments for the event if you want members to contact you by email of by phone.
