KHC is looking for some new hike leaders to help offer events for our members.    The current need is for someone to organize moderate hikes on the weekends on local trails.

Some of the possible routes might include Kenna Cartwright Park, Valleyview Nature Park, Battle Bluff, Dewdrop Trail, Dallas-Barnhartvale Nature Park, Barnes Lake, Peterson Creek, Tranquille Creek, Pineview Trails, Stake Lake, Upland Trails, Mt. Buse, Batchelor Hills, Isobel Lake, McConnell Lake, Deep Lake, and more.    KHC has information on each of these trails for leaders.

The full hike leader program is described on the website (link) but another possibility is to “get your feet wet” gradually.   If a member volunteers, he/she can provide the basic information to us and we will post the event for you so you can try it out.   You will be supported by another hike leader, as needed.
