Board of Directors Meeting Summary
The Board of Directors met on Nov. 17 and discussed a number of issues and made some important policy decisions and changed some procedures. All of those changes are now displayed on the website on the relevant pages:
- Adjustments to Membership – dates, procedures, and more – Membership Information page
- Major changes to the Guests Policy and procedures – Guests page
- Adjustments to definitions, policies, and opportunities for Minors – Minors page
- A revised statement about dogs on Our Furry Friends page.
- Adjusted membership dares noted in a widget on the right side of the website.
Additional items discussed – 2029 Fall Potluck, 2020 AGM, use of the InReach, the role of sweeps, printable lists for hike leaders, new member communications, guest/minors fees, Family events, transparency of waivers completed and guest fees paid, hike leader recruitment, website content, KHC swag, budgets, payment methods, and more, all of which were discussion items. The minutes of the meeting with more detail will be posted to the KHC Meeting Minutes page on the website.
