- Our thanks to the hike leaders who posted events in the last 2 weeks – Sheila Powell, Wendy Kineshanko, Helen Gendron, Sam Chow, Paulette Gendron, and Doug Smith.
- We asked Hike Leaders about their plans for winter and we have featured their responses in a News article (on the sidebar).  Here is a link too – Winter Plans.
- A date has been set for the annual Fall Potluck on Nov. 11.  We hope to see you there.
- An added feature to the website available to logged-in members only are many pages of trail information. These include some driving directions, some notes, a map, a GPS map, a track download, and images that can be used for event listings or for review by members who are interested in seeing some trail photos. Much of the information is not visible to the public. We make this choice so that the information is a benefit of being a KHC member.  Each page takes time to develop, so a few will be added each time. The next 10 are provided below as links.

Just a little reminder from the Hike Leaders Committee. Any members waiting for a spot to open up on an event should just keep an eye on the listing even right up to the day of the event. It is not possible for leaders to keep track of spaces on their events always and inform people of an opening. For far ahead, multi day events there will usually be a comment in the Recent Event Comment section of the website announcing an opening. For one day events there is very often an opening at last minute.
