KHC Newsletter – May 26, 2019
KHChronicles
- Our thanks to the hike leaders who led events in May – Paulette Gendron, Judy Karr, John and Carole Moslin, Ian Cornish, Sasha Lees, Lisa Boutry, Gerry Hoye, Sam Chow, Katherine Roberts, Doug Smith, and Sheila Powell.
- With the warmer weather comes the possibility of mosquitoes. Â Any event in June or July can be a “buggy” day, so prepare accordingly.
- As we get into the summer, a number of our hikes/events get longer and steeper so members should contact the hike leader if they are not sure about the proposed hike.
- With the arrival of hot weather, hikers are reminded to bring extra water along on any hike into the hills.
- Forest fires or smoky conditions may disrupt our schedules throughout the summer season.
- Paddling season has arrived.  Watch for more paddling events on the website.
- We are surveying our members to find out which hikes they would like to see offered in 2019.  To participate fill out an answer to the question below.
