KHC Newsletter – December 2, 2018
KHChirps
- It is now transition season and there are no good hiking conditions.  We can hike lower and experience muddy, wet conditions or we can go higher and hike in the snow.   Good boots, layered clothing, and gaiters are recommended if hiking at this time of the year.   Snowshoeing will start soon.
- Sadly, our friend Clive Giolma passed away this week.   We have added a photo gallery of shots of Clive in the outdoors in a News story – link.
- Some winter trips are now being posted.  With winter conditions and limited accommodations, the groups are small, so book early if you want to join in.  Watch for more listings to come.
- We are pleased to welcome Deanna Rice as a Hike Leader for KHC.  Watch for an upcoming event led by Deanna.
- Federation of Mountain Clubs of BC’s November Newsletter.
- Outdoor Recreation Council’s November Newsletter
- Kamloops Sports Council’s November Newsletter.
- Thanks to our hike leaders for continuing to post new events even with less-than-ideal conditions.  A few of us go out 12 months a year, so it is great to have someone to hike with.
