In the previous stage of the epidemic, hiking was fine as long as we used social distancing.   Because some people have not been practicing social distancing, and also because the number of Covid19 cases is rising dramatically, the medical community and government are starting to say no group activities 9 (at all).   We probably could carry on with small groups and practice rigorous social distancing and hygiene, but the perception is that we are not cooperating.   So we are shutting down KHC events for the upcoming weeks with a resumption date to be announced at a later time.

At this time we are not taking any bookings for group events and we have cancelled all bookings for the period of time from now through April 30, but it is likely this will last longer than May 1st, but that will be reviewed by the incoming Board of Directors prior to that date.

It will take a day or two to reconfigure the event listings on the website, but all will be fixed in a day or two.
