KHC April Newsletter
April brought with it sunshine and warmer weather for us hikers who enjoy the outdoors! As a club, we are continuing to follow the social distancing expectations from Dr. Henry and the government. Kamloops city parks remain open, so please do get outside and enjoy our trails with proper social distancing: http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19
- Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Keep them clean.
- Keep at least two metres away from people who are sick.
- When outside the home, keep two metres away from other people.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
- Masks won’t fully protect you from infection but can help prevent you from infecting others.
Kamloops Hiking Club’s official events continue to be on hold at this time.
Check out Trail Talk with Lori and Di our new member liaisons for the hiking club. Be engaged with a series of interviews with long term KHC members sharing their experiences and tips with new members.
This month we also introduced KHC Connections where you can meet our hike leaders. They will share a short bio, tips, and a favourite hike.
Our Facebook group and KHC website are featuring pictures of past hikes for us to reminisce and keep us inspired for those future hikes we will embark on before you know it!
Hiking club membership information can be found on the Membership Registration page.
A big thank you to our board for its collaboration and hard work and a big thank you to our hiking club members as we continue to support one another during Covid 19.
