A loop in the Westsyde Hills starting at the Deep lake trailhead and following up into the Lac Du Bois grasslands trail, then off trail climbing up to a view point for lunch.   Scenic loop with some good heart pounding hills.   Then back on an off trail loop to trailhead.    Some steep, loose off trail sections so good boots and poles recommended.   Bugs should be gone by this time of year.   You are welcome to bring pooch but keep them on leash as we are in a protected area.

We will be practicing social distancing throughout the hike.   We will meet at Westsyde Centennial Park at 0930 and car convoy from there.

I have been retired for several years now and enjoy many activities in the outdoors such as hiking, cycling, skiing, backpacking. I have lived in Canada for the last 35 years and spent a great deal of time exploring the Rockies, K-country, Kootenays and parts of BC.

I get out on a hike, ski or cycle ride several times a week either with the club or family and enjoy running multi day trips as well as day outings.I will lead fairly strenuous, moderate to steady paced outings as well as some starter outings.
