Description
Using Roland Neave’s book “Exploring Wells Gray Park”, we will explore as many places and hikes as we can.
Car-camping at Wells Gray Resort Golf & RV Park:
- Campers, trailers, motor homes, etc are all welcome.
- all “tent cabins” have been reserved.
- If you can only camp/hike for a day you can still join in. The Paradis and Lines will be driving up on Saturday morning where we will all be at the viewing platform for Helimcken Falls at 9:30 Am.
Tentative Hiking Plan:
- Friday – Leave Kamloops @ 9:00 and drive to Wells Gray Park and do some of the waterfall hikes on the way to the base camp: Triple Decker &Â Candle falls, first and second canyons plus Moul Falls.
- Saturday – Start Hike @ 9:30 to the Gattling Gorge, Dawson Falls, and the South Rim trail.
- Sunday – Short hike to the Majerus Farm, Pyramid Rapids, Ray’s Farm, and a hike to the Houseshoe lookout as we head back to Kamloops
