Join me on an exploratory hike in the upper grasslands.  My focus is to make 2-3 extended stops to set up my tripod and take some pictures.  Therefore, the pace will be slower but steady as we look for things to photograph.  So come out and enjoy the views whether you’ll be taking pictures with your mind or camera.

There may be some off-trail sections, but the area is mostly open grasslands.

Be prepared for wetter conditions as the terrain is muddier with the precipitation and cooler weather we’ve had.

Bring a snack and warm clothes for it can cool off quickly when you’ve been hiking and then stop for a break.

We’ll meet at the Bachelor meet up spot and carpool from there.  We will aim to leave at 9 am so try to be there 10 minutes before so we can organize rides, or meet us at the kiosk just before the turnoff to McQueen Lake.

I will be bringing my dog Havana.  I’m fine with two more dogs joining us on the hike.
