Update: Saturday, June 17 – 3:45PM – Weather and air quality forecast for tomorrow is acceptable. Bundle up! See you all in the morning.👍🏻
PLEASE NOTE: THIS HIKE IS SUBJECT TO WEATHER AND AIR QUALITY. Please check back here for updates the night before the hike for status. If weather is poor or if the air quality is unhealthy, we will try to reschedule.
Come along and be “wowwwwed” by the sights along this hike. I’m not sure whether to nickname it the “Gorgeous Forest Trail“, or the “Trail of Unending Stunning Snags & Trees“. I lean to the latter….. 😎 Sadly, my poor old phone camera just could not capture the beauty of these magnificent trees – I guess they are meant to be soaked up in person. As such, our pace will be one that allows for taking it all in.
Approx 6km long loop, 213m elevation gain….this trail wanders through one of the most beautiful forested areas I’ve seen – stunning vistas, lush green grasses, beautiful trees and gigantic standing snags that never end…..one after another…..each one will awe you. If you love trees and wild huge snags (spirit trees), this is the hike for you.
New members are very welcome!
Meetup at Valleyview Arena Parking Area at 8:00 AM on Sunday, June 18. (Beat the heat) Some car-pooling encouraged so that we do not overwhelm the neighbourhood’s street parking. Car Pool/Caravan to Upper East Juniper. Bring Water, Snack, Bug Spray (just in case), Sunscreen, 10 Essentials, etc.
