Δ 2015 Peaks Series
We will meet at 6:45, leave at 7:00 AM sharp from the meet-up spot near the Husky Station on the Paul Lake Road to arrange carpooling.
Allow for $15-$20 for the drivers depending on numbers, it will be a 2 hour drive each way.
Participants must be physically fit for this hike, expect to be on the trail for about 7 hours.
We will hike steadily through the meadows, drop down past Sheila Lake and continue past the plateau of tarns, it will take 2 hours of steady hiking to reach the point where we will access the ridge to Long Hill, then follow the ridge to the east continuing to the summit of Trophy 2.
Views are spectacular, from the flowers in the meadows to alpine tarns beyond Sheila Lake, to sheer snowy drop offs on the north slope, a great view of Trophy 1 and Cwem Cwem and much more.
This a long strenuous hike over rugged terrain, good hiking boots and hiking poles are recommended. Bring your TEN Essentials, plenty of snacks , extra water, hiking poles, mosquitoes spray, and of course, your camera is a must!
The coffee and ice cream in Clearwater will taste great on the way home.
