Description
A hike up the slopes from the valley bottom to a high point overlooking Tranquille Canyon and back
- a hike on old tracks, game trails, and some off-trail sections
- if you are an on-established-trails-hiker-only this hike is probably not for you
- tick season has arrived
- a scenic route, but also a rugged one
- some steeper sections
- some of the trail will be dry, but we may encounter mud, ice, or snow, so prepare accordingly
- some sections of more difficult footing
- stop for tea/lunch at the turn-around spot
- the outing’s actual distance and time will depend on conditions
- meet at the parking area noted in the image below at 10:00 am
