Description
Three short, easy hikes to scenic spots in the Coquihalla Summit Area
- carpool in Kamloops to drive to the Coquihalla Summit area – 2 hours one way
- Hike 1 – Drive to the Falls Lake parking lot and hike in to Falls Lake and back (3 km return)
- Falls Lake sits in a cirque between Zoa Peak and Thar Peak
- Drive to Zum Creek Rec Site (on a backroad)
- Hike 2 – to Little Douglas Lake (3 km return)
- The lake is in the cirque between Zoa Pea, Zum Peak, and Yak Peak
- Lunch at Little Douglas Lake
- Drive back toward Kamloops then down the Brodie Road and park near the Coldwater River
- Hike along the Trans Canada Trail/Kettle Valley Railway/The Loops, including 3 historic tresses (2.5 km)
- Hike out and back on a flat, but scenic route
- Drive home (a total of about 330 km round trip)

- The leader has done all of these hikes but is choosing to return in the hopes of finding less smoky conditions, without climbing a steep mountain.
- All 3 hikes are easy but quite scenic. Great for phtography.
- All to be done at a moderate pace.
