With smoky skies its hard to predict if conditions will be suitable for a hike so we will offer 3 choices and we will go with whatever the conditions bring us.   Sometimes conditions are better higher up so we will have a high country option.   Although we would prefer an alpine route, it is unlikely that it would be reasonable at this time of year.

• If it is too smoky (7+) or too rainy – we will cancel
• If air quality is moderate (4 to 6) we will do a moderate hike – Stake Lake Trails
• If conditions are good, we will do a more interesting route – Bushwhacker Trail on McConnell Hill, the Lac le Jeune Lookout,  or another longer loop route on the area’s trails

An early start either way.   Meet at Aberdeen Mall (the new meet-up spot).   Carpool.   If it is McConnell Hill, bring a lunch.   There were no mosquitoes up there this week.
