Come and enjoy the fall colors. Carole and John will be hiking on the Stake Lake trail system, combining ski and snowshoe trails on Saturday October 7th. We will be meeting at the Stake Lake trailhead at 10:00 am , those wishing to carpool, meet at Hillside parking lot at 9:30, leaving promptly to meet at the Stake Lake trailhead by 10:00 to begin the hike. Remember, we are volunteers leading this hike, we hope to share these trails, a combinations ski and snowshoe trails through the fall colors. We have a route planned that will give participants views from some nice viewpoints. We will take our time for photos, etc. stopping for lunch and break at one of the viewpoints. Dress for the conditions, bring your safety essentials, lunch, hiking poles, camera. The trail will be a combination of double track ski trails, some (off track) snowshoe trails, partial route finding. We will cover between 10 and 13 km before arriving back at the parking area.
