Description
An easy trail considered as a forested walk with open vistas and a creekside stroll. The fall colors should be amazing along the lake and the presence of fungus and mushrooms abundant along this beautiful trail. Several species of birds, geese and ducks mostly will be present on this beautiful lake so a camera is a must. This trail is mostly flat with one easy to moderate hill at the beginning of the trail. This trail has also been a good snowshoe trail in the winter. We will do the short version of this trail and for those interested, we can stop at the Granite Creek Estate Winery post hike.
Meet at the Fresh Market location at 10:00 am sharp to arrange carpooling. We will depart at 10:15 and caravan to the trail head which should take about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Don"t forget your ten essential, a lunch, water and most of all, your camera.
Dogs are welcome, max of 4 dogs permitted as per Kamloops Hiking Club policy.
