Description
This hike starts at the Six Mile Hills rest area on highway 1. We follow down a route to the lake, cross the train tracks and then wander along the beach before having lunch. The return is a steep climb back up the way we came. A really interesting area with great views across the lake, with Painted Bluffs being just across the water.
The loop is only about 5-7 km but is a good climb back up. I will enable the event a week or so out once I know what the weather forecast is. Meet up at the Hillside meet up spot at 1000 to carpool the short distance.

I have been retired for several years now and enjoy many activities in the outdoors such as hiking, cycling, skiing, backpacking. I have lived in Canada for the last 35 years and spent a great deal of time exploring the Rockies, K-country, Kootenays and parts of BC.
