Silver Star ski resort has 16 km of marked hiking trails up and down the area with some open meadows and lovely views.   It is free to hike the trails and ride the chair so we will do our ascending by chair so our mileage and elevations will be moderate.   The resort itself is mid-mountain so the trails go up and down and around.  This is a new area in the summer to the co-ordinator so expect some map reading and decision making breaks!!   It is the flower season so expect those pesky little bugs to join us too.

Remember it is mountain weather so be prepared for sun, wind, rain, and everything in between!  Good hiking boots and poles recommended – some excellent coffee shops and bakeries in the resort so beware.

Meet at Valleyview Arena to carpool at 0800; the drive is less than 2 hrs to the resort.   If you choose to carpool be prepared to pay your driver $15.
