Description
This hike is one of my favourite shoulder season jaunts.  The trail follows along the shoreline of Kamloops lake from Savona and meanders up and down on mainly double track and single track trails with extensive views along the lake. It is an out and back route and we will have lunch at our turnaround point.  It is about 7 km to our turnaround point. Bring poles and traction devices for muddy or icy sections.  At this time of year this hike is very weather dependant and will not run if there is heavy snow, and road conditions will be a factor – if we have adverse highway conditions we will not run this hike.
We will meet at the Hillside Drive Aberdeen meet up at 1000 and car convoy out to Savona Cemetery where the hike starts. We will be practicing social distancing on the hike; bring hand sanitizer and masks if you wish to carpool.
- As per Covid protocol we are keeping our numbers to 6 on each hike.
