Description
Join us as we hike on the Rose Swanson trails above Armstrong. People from Kamloops can meet and leave from Valleyview arena at 9:00 am. People can arrange car pooling and or convoy to the trailhead, driving directions are available on Google Maps, about a 1 hour 12 minute drive from the arena. Carole and I will be travelling from Chase and will meet at the trailhead. Two weeks ago, ice was reported on parts of the trail, bring your ice cleats just in case. This is a wonderful 8+ km moderate hike with views towards Vernon. where we will enjoy a break and lunch or snacks. Dress for the weather and conditions, bring your spikes/cleats, poles, lunch, hiking essentials, and camera.

I have been hiking in the Kamloops area for a number of years enjoying the alpine in the summer months. Joined the KHC in 2011 and have been leading hikes and snowshoe events ranging from moderate to difficult for over two years. Look forward to sharing the trail with others in the club.
