Description
Carole and I will be hiking along Red Plateau on Sunday.
Join us on this hike with great views and scenery. We will meet at the Aviation way dog park to arrange car pooling at 10:00 am (high clearance vehicles required). The trail begins along the Red Plateau FSR. There are a few short steep hills along the way but nothing significant, after about 45 minutes we should reach a point overlooking Kamloops Lake. We will follow the trail west for about 3 km. Total about 10 km over about 3 hours, allowing time to enjoy the views and take photos, lunch will be held at the west view point. Bring you hiking essentials, pack your cleats (last time there were some extreme icy sections) bring a lunch or snack, dress for the conditions.

I have been hiking in the Kamloops area for a number of years enjoying the alpine in the summer months. Joined the KHC in 2011 and have been leading hikes and snowshoe events ranging from moderate to difficult for over two years. Look forward to sharing the trail with others in the club.
