Description
Dewdrop Ridge to Tranquille
This will be an out and back hike, following the Dewdrop Range trail, stopping at the various overlooks.
Meet at the second pullout on the right on Frederick Rd, approximately 650 metres after turning left off of Tranquille-Criss Creek Rd.
This is a steep route for the first few kilometers with loose rocky sections. I recommend poles to assist with both going up and down.
I am returning member to the Kamloops Hiking Club and looking forward to volunteering as a hike leader. My passions include trail running, skiing, snowshoeing and cycling. I am always looking for new trails and places to enjoy the solitude of the mountains. I recently became more interested in the knowing the flora and fauna of the paths I wander. This could be a result of the alone time spent during the last few ultra trail marathons (24 to 48 hours) I have ran.
Recent trail vacations included those in the US National Parks of Utah, Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Horseshoe Bend. A big thrill was to finally see the geysers of Yellowstone.
