Description
An event hosted by the Ramblers, open to all KHC Members
- Since conditions are wet, the roads and parking areas are a challenge.   In addition, weet snow clumps up under the snowshoes, so:
- We will meet at 9:30 at the Hillside Road meetup spot (link) and carpool or convoy to the trailhead.
- If it is raining lightly we will carry on.    If it is too wet, we will cancel.
- We will hike on the snow (cleats recommended) on a trail off Lac le Jeune Road.   We can adjust the distance and time to the conditions.
- We will have one route leader but there will be others to help as needed.   It will be at a moderate pace, suitable for all.
- Stops for photos and/or to appreciate nature are likely.
- No limits to numbers.    The group will accommodate all, as needed (currently listed as 20, but the limit is flexible).  We may split into 2 groups, if needed.
- Participants may wish to bring a baked good to share for our midway tea break (optional).
- Dress for the conditions.
- The Ramblers group organizes low-key outings and hopes for a positive experience for all participants.
- If conditions are too wet, we will cancel the morning of, so check back.
Hosted by the Ramblers – Chris, Carla, Cheryl, Ian, Liz, and Doug (and others to be added).
