Description
A walk/hike from McArthur Island to Rabbit Island, around the island and back
- meet at McArthur Island at the southeast parking lot at 10 am
- walk down to the beach and traverse over to a cold water crossing
- cross a narrow channel to the other side; most of us change our shoes on the other side
- the water is below the knee, but cold
- stow our crossing gear on the island and hike around the island back to the same crossing point
- a stop for tea/lunch on the island
- cross back over and return to the vehicle

- an easier hike of about 4.5 km
- dress for the conditions
