Description
Starting from the Pyramid Campground entrance this is a 10km out-and-back snowshoe to the top of Pyramid Mountain. The trail is moderate with 300 meters of elevation gain occurring mostly within the last two kilometers to the top. The trip will be 3 to 4 hours with a lunch stop at the top, weather permitting.
Change: 8:00am Carpooling meeting location is on Paul Lake Road across from the Esso gas station, just at the beginning of the first hill on your right.The drive is approximately 170km from Kamloops to the trailhead and will take two hours one way.
Optional hikes into Helmcken falls viewpoint time permitting.

I am returning member to the Kamloops Hiking Club and looking forward to volunteering as a hike leader. My passions include trail running, skiing, snowshoeing and cycling. I am always looking for new trails and places to enjoy the solitude of the mountains. I recently became more interested in the knowing the flora and fauna of the paths I wander. This could be a result of the alone time spent during the last few ultra trail marathons (24 to 48 hours) I have ran.
Recent trail vacations included those in the US National Parks of Utah, Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Horseshoe Bend. A big thrill was to finally see the geysers of Yellowstone.
