Description
This is a moderate classic local hike just outside of town around beautiful Paul Lake and up to a viewpoint at Gibraltar Rock.  We will start at the end of the lake off Harper Mtn road and walk along the lake, up a short climb to the viewpoint. After that we descend through the forest to the campground and beach before returning to the vehicles along the lake.
Be sure to read the KHC Social distancing policy before signing up for this hike.  We will be keeping our distance throughout the walk and for breaks.  Each person should carry a mask, sanitizer and gloves although if anyone is having any sickness symptoms they will not be allowed to participate on this hike.
We will meet at the Paul Lake Road meet up spot and drive to trailhead, about 35 minutes from there. You are welcome to bring a furry friend but keep them on a leash at all times.  As per provincial regulations we will be keeping our group small, to only 6 participants, to enable social distancing at all times.
As it is forecast to be pretty hot we have moved the meeting time half an hour earlier to finish before the hottest part of the day.
