Description
A hike to Painted Bluffs Provincial Park
- meet at the Hillside Drive meetup spot (link) at 9:00 am
- organize your own carpooling or convoy to the trailhead area
- drive to Savona then on the Sabiston Creek Forest Service Road to Copper Creek (about one hour) on a good gravel road
- hike over the hills, through the gullies, and over ridges to the upper end of Painted Bluffs, on a route, not on established trails
- I have been to the area many times, but this time the plan is to stay at the upper end and hike around the rim without descending to the bottom end; this will save some down and up and make the hike a bit shorter
- lunch on the rim
- return by a similar route
- a rugged hike
- this is a long day because of the access; an option is to return on the Red Lake Road (equidistant)
- check the listing the day before in case there are any changes to the plan
- contact me by email or message me (link) if you have questions
- Information on hiking Painted Bluffs Provincial Park
- and a video:
I am planning on recording some more video footage and flying the drone (aerial photography) so if this of concern to you, then don’t register.
