Description
A hike across the hills to Painted Bluffs Provincial Park
- Meet at the turnoff past Savona (1.2 km past the bridge over the river) at 9:30 am
- Participants can organize their own carpooling, if desired
- Convoy on backroads to the trailhead area near Copper Creek
- Hike over the hills on a faint track to the south end of Painted Bluffs
- The route is on rough terrain all the way there and back
- Explore the park area and have lunch there and return by the same route
- Ticks will be out; the footing has loose material at times;Â some steep sections; good boots and poles recommended
- A scenic and wild area
