Description
A hike on Opax Mountain
- Meet at the Batchelor Hills meet-up spot at 9
- drive to the trailhead at Lac du Bois
- Hike to the West Opax Lookout
- Loop down to Hanging Valley on a new trail
- Return up Hanging Valley to the start
- About 15 km
- Bring lots of water for a longer hike
- Mosquitoes may be out
- Great views and a memorable hike, but it is longer and has a good climb in the first half and a steady climb at the end
