Description
This is a moderate hike in the Spallumcheen/Armstrong area. At the time of posting there was very little smoke in the area but I will be keeping an eye on that. The trail is a loop trail climbing a moderate 354 m to a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the north Okanagen lake, Otter Lake and Swan lake, and various farming communities below. The forested trail climbs at an easy grade and the loop is 8.3 km.
We will meet at Valleyview arena at 0830 to car pool; the drive is about 1 1/2 hours each way. Any vehicle is fine for this hike.

I have been retired for several years now and enjoy many activities in the outdoors such as hiking, cycling, skiing, backpacking. I have lived in Canada for the last 35 years and spent a great deal of time exploring the Rockies, K-country, Kootenays and parts of BC.
I get out on a hike, ski or cycle ride several times a week either with the club or family and enjoy running multi day trips as well as day outings.I will lead fairly strenuous, moderate to steady paced outings as well as some starter outings.
