Description
Come join me on a new route (for me anyways) through the scenic area around McQueen Lake.
We will pass McQueen, Clay and Griffin Lakes and loop back in a circular route.
Nothing difficult here and it should be a good hike, smoke permitting
We will meet at the Batchelor Hills meet up; make sure you have your 10 essentials and plenty of water. Weather forecast is for possibly a shower so dress accordingly.
- carpool to the trailhead on the Isobel Lake Road
- 7.3 km of hiking with a lunch stop along the way

I have been retired for several years now but hiking has been a favorite past time over the years. I used to backpack a lot... many years ago.....and undertake some really challenging hikes but now my preference is just for a good day out!
We've been in Kamloops for about 11 years (2nd time around) so hiking/snowshoeing is still relatively new for me here. I've hiked a lot in the Lower Mainland/Whistler area and now we enjoy the freedom of retirement to be able to walk/hike in the UK, Europe and elsewhere in the world.
I enjoy hiking on single or double track paths with small groups and generally keep up a moderate to steady pace.
